What if all weapons in the world looks like a needle?

What will happen if all weapons are small.....like a needle?

With the research regarding nanotechnology, the world had resolved to use smaller and even smaller things. The technology give births to tiny speakers that can produce sound stronger than the ones in a movie theater and also the birth of small car engines that can produce horsepower equal to an F1 car! Imagine that! Thus, come the military who just loves all this technology and embrace nanotechnology. I present you the 'needle' weapon. What will happen if weapons has the shape of a needle?

The first thing came in my mind is that James Bond can carry out his missions easier. Heck, every spy in the world can carry out their job easier because of the small weapon. They can just carry their weapon without suspicion and lurk among commoners as if they are 'normal' . This will give rise to FBI or CIA thus making them more formidable.

Then, criminal activities increase because they can carry their weapon easier. People won't know if someone is pointing their 'needle' gun to you then the moment you know it, BAM! RIP. Still, police will also benefit since they can just shoot at this criminal easier.

If a war breaks out, I can imagine some humorous scene. Soldiers carrying all these needle guns and use it to shoot the enemy. I can imagine that all these soldiers are weaker in term of strength compared to their 'real' weapons counterpart because of the light weapon that doesn't need the much efforts from muscles to carry it. Only the use of two fingers and you can eliminate your enemies. But, these needles will make the image of soldier less 'macho' and brave. Think about it! Imagine a soldier monument and all the soldiers carry a needle!

Then, came the angry grandmothers with all their banners written with ' Save our image' and 'Grandmothers aren't murderers' . Yes, with the perception of needle as weapon, people will start to think that grandmothers are killers since they always use needles to sew. Oh, poor grandma. Their image as kind and loving will be tarnished just because of the change of the function of needle.

If needles are used as weapon, how do we distinguish real sewing needle and needle weapons? Confusing, confusing.
